Today's walk and edit....Glossop.

When I completed my Royal Air Force apprenticeship in 1972, 93rd entry, I passed through Glossop in my Austin 10, reg DAA 281, on my way to my first posting at RAF Middleton St Gearge, county Durham, 33 squadron Javelin 9 fighter quadron. Today I thought I would take a look at Glossop, unfortunately very dull with a cold shower. Remember, the only guenuine apps in this world are ex RAF apps!

Today's walk ......castle.

Today we went to Little Morton Hall. Way off in the distance on a hilltop I spotted what turned out to be Mow Cop Castle, not a real one but in fact a folly. An awful long way off so hard to get a really decent pic.

I pleased to report the wifi is working, just a bit slow.

Dry stone walls.

Unfortunately soon to fall.

Time to climb back up the hill.
