A minor fire.

Today's excitement. A minor fire in the cooking compartment of the microwave,.I think food get's splashed on the mica cover on the waveguide port and it ends up flaming.  Don't panic, replacements are available on Ebay and easily fitted, make sure you  get the correct size.

Question, is the chicken used in supermarket ready meals coming from the same sources?

Pic for Wednesday.

Secret falls at Penmachno. The coloured water is caused by the peat in the soil.

From my archives.

An example of slate fencing above Penmachno. The ruins of the miners village are in the background.

It had a shop and school, all located above the snow line made for a really hard life.

Pic for Tuesday.

Looking across the lake to Tanygrisiau hydroelectric power station,.

Today's ride.

Cold or not I decided I needed to get out, it actually wasn't too bad.

Clear view upstream.

Back in 1967.

While in the RAF I was sent to the USA to learn all about the Phantom missile control system and on my return would become an instructor. While in the states 3 of us decided it would be a good idea to visit the white house. After a walk we came across this  dirty scruffy looking building and came to the conclusion we must be in the wrong area. To make life easier we decided to get a taxi and requested the driver to take us to the white house, he did this and took us around to the the front of the scruffy building we had found earlier!😄
