I have returned from a great weekend away.
Taken more pictures but must finish the walk around the quarry.
The stream makes it's way down through the forest, not a lot of water at present.
Looking back along the waste slate level, it's interesting to see nature is slowly reclaiming what's hers and covering up man's scars on the landscape.
Looking across to the mine workers village.
The building off to the right is the toilet block, located by a stream.
Not a pleasant place to visit on a cold winters night!
