On the return journey from Ludlow we passed through Shipton hall and had a wonder.
Shipton church was mentioned in the 10th Century, the church tower is Norman and the medieval chancel was rebuilt in 1589.
Inside, there is a commemorate plaque from the Massachusetts Society of Mayflower descendants which is dedicated to four parish children.
