St Clare's Convent, Pantasaph. 3

The Oratory had been exposed to vandals and the elements for quite some time when I took these shots in 2002. The paining of St Philomena was deteriorating rapidly.

This was an attempt by me to restore the painting using my editing programs.

Lets hope their prayers were answered.

The oratory was located in the left hand corner of this shot. A large number of people visited St Philomena that it was found necessary to build an extra room for people to wait and shelter, it has been destroyed in this picture.

The final hours. Two sections of the wall were preserved. The JCB driver who would have normally knocked down the wall with St Philomena's paining on didn't feel comfortable about doing it so handed the demolition to a colleague. Today a modern house stands on the site.
