Each Boxing Day, in Denbigh, the high street is closed off, a course is marked out with bales of straw and barrel rolling races take place.

The track leading up to the ruins of the miners chapel in one of my favorite places, the Cwmorthin valley. 

A hard life in those days, I am told work on Saturday morning, get married on Saturday afternoon, honeymoon on Sunday, back to work on Monday morning!

The mountain was marked out into various areas to be worked, this is one of the remaining markers.

The last time I visited I found the lake had been drained.
