Today's walk.....weir and bridge.

Today I decided on a detour to Brookhouse weir. It was only just getting light and I wanted to try some flash shots.

Dawn is now breaking so shot in normal lighting.

Just a few yards back up the river is the old Denbigh to Ruthin railway bridge. A shot through the bridge.

Today's walk........sunrise.

Running through the centre of the pic, with goal post, is the track once followed by the Denbigh to Ruthin railway. I'm standing on what was once the road bridge over the railway.

Sun through the branches. A cool wind but a bright start to the day.

Morning walk shots.3

Approaching what was once a bridge over the railway on the Ystrad road.

The railway line ran from here to Ruthin and on to Corwen. A couple of years ago the cemetery was extended to into this area, but is not in use as yet.

The line ran from here along the line of trees back into Denbigh station and then on to Mold. What an asset it would have been today. This area is now the school sports field.

View of the raised road, from the cemetery extension.

Sunrise.......Denbigh.

Took this on the start of my walk today, looking down the Ruthin road towards the Clwydian range, has clouded over now with rain on the way. "Red sky in the morning shepherd's warning", certainly true today.
