Morning walk shots.11

On the left of the horizon is the old asylum and on the right Denbigh castle.

Downhill now to the bridge.

Catching the morning sun.

This wall runs at the side of the bridge down to the river, I think that before the bridge was built there was a ford across the river and this wall was at the side of the track. The Romans spent a long time in Denbigh and the surrounding area, I wouldn't know if it was their style of architecture. There is the remains of a motte and baily behind us at the farm.

A view from the bridge. The grid is to prevent cattle from wandering off down stream. Just downriver from here is where the river was diverted and channeled down the valley to power the watermill.

Farm outbuilding.
