Built in the days when horses were the means of transport, I am told this was a horse trough where horses could get a drink.
Not sure on this, maybe it was a hay store for the horses as it's close to the water trough.
One of the many edge of the road markers coming up through the woods. I am very reliably informed that the circular piece is in fact a fossil!
Looking down on the river with a bridge crossing to the animal shelter. This is the same river that was diverted further up the valley to the left to power the mill.
Leaving the woods we come across a pleasant driveway.
