Spring is on the way!

Snowdrops, taken on my walk today. Had to use the flash as it's a very cold and dull day.

A misty Cwmorthin valley. 3.

Work to be done on the bridge but being supported for the moment. I have known it to be washed away during really heavy periods of rain.

View of the engineering work from the other side of the river.

These are the old miners barracks. A restoration programme has been started, the chimney has been supported and some of  walls have been rebuilt.

A misty Cwmorthin valley.

I finally decided to break the cabin fever and get up into the mountains. Having been here in sunshine, snow and rain, I thought the mist and low cloud would make for some different shots.

The bottom falls.

The bridge in the mist.

Some really clever machinery was produced for the woollen industry.

Always large amounts of woollen fibres produced from the many processes.

With a bit of luck I should be able to get some new material soon, in the meantime it's back in the archives.

The mill pond.

The water shoot to the waterwheel which once powered the mill.

Winding threads.

Hanking machine, the hanks then go off for dying.
