In the distance, the lone tree next to the ruins of the miners chapel.
  

In the valley below, the hydroelectric power station at Tanygrisiau. The lower lake is almost empty as the water would have been pumped back to the upper lake during the night.

Some restoration work has been carried out on the chapel. The old roof timbers have been removed from inside and some of the external walls have been repaired.

The view down the valley. Well worth the climb which started the other side of the lake.


Close up of the chapel ruins. The tramway came up to the chapel and then detoured to the left, the track was obviously added at a later date as it goes over the old tramway.
