Baddesley Clinton 2

The Catholic faith was illegal in days gone by so a room was set aside within the house as a place of worship.

Looking down the Priest hole, if the house was raided the Priest would escape down here. I left my foot in the shot to give an idea of the size, all the Priests must have been quite slim.

The bottom of the Priest hole.

Household and kitchen equipment.

Jane admiring the paintings.

Baddesley Clinton

The bridge over the moat, the entrance to Baddesley Clinton.

Reflections in the moat.

Having crossed the bridge we enter the courtyard.

This screen was placed on the window sill to illuminate it. It would seem that a grave has been opened up and the man at the side is holding a skull. No information was available.

Stained glass.
