Walk in the hills.

On my way I stopped on the Denbigh moor to get a couple of pic's of Snowdonia mountains.

Started my walk with a view towards Portmadog.

Today's walk....chapel.

Went for a walk in the mountains again today so the walk pic's are late. The Chapel is located on the edge of the Denbigh moor, have passed it many times so decided to stop today. I wonder if the phone kiosk has a direct line!

Chapel on edge of the Denbigh moor, caught in the morning sun.

Walk to Llyn Bowydd and quarry, September 2014.

After a dull and misty start the sun eventually burned through.

Taken as I drove over the Denbigh moor on my journey.

A record of my walk.

The old repeater station, which has stood here for years, has finally been trashed.

Took a slight detour to get a couple of shots of the dressing sheds and steam engine house.

Looking across the Denbigh Moor.

Took a run in the car earlier, some snow on the Snowdonia mountains, three different edits.

Denbigh Moor......an abandoned cottage. 3

When chimney pots weren't available pieces of slate were used.

Denbigh Moor......an abandoned cottage.

Finally we got a beautiful sunny day so I made my way up to the edge of the Denbigh moor.

Two adjacent cottages with a shared chimney making for a far more efficient heating system. Probably home to farmers and their family. It's only recently been boarded up, maybe someone is about to restore it.

A collapsed outbuilding which had a single window.

Close up of the window frame.

A very harsh environment up here, the trees get shaped by the gales.

Rainbow.

Took this rather short rainbow while crossing the Denbigh moor this morning on my way to
Coed-Y-Brenin forest, pic's from that trip to follow shortly.
