Quarry Bank Woollen Mill 9.
"Carrying the can". An interesting origin for the expression.

Quarry Bank Woollen Mill 8.
The mill had an on site dental facility.
Dentist's lighting.
Loaded shuttle. These had to be hard wearing and were made from fruit woods, dogwood or maple.
Loom gearing, complete with cotton dust.

Rows of looms. Very high noise level when all in use.
Winders. The whole thing moves out on the rails to stretch the thread ready for winding.
