Milk separator. By the use of centrifugal force the cream is separated out from the milk, the first part of the process to make clotted cream. When I was a lad and used to go to Arrowan farm at weekends I used to operate theirs. Took a lot of effort to get it up to speed.

Only open on a Thursday and no photography within the house. Well worth a visit and you get a guided tour.

Quarry Bank Woollen Mill 10.


Our trip to the mill and gardens is complete, time to make the journey home.

Trip to Aberdaron 4.



Church from the hotel balcony.


The church bell. The chain with the hand grip was resting on the roof out of reach! LOL The chain would  reach ground level and the bell would be rung from outside.
