Once the stable for the ponies that pulled the slate wagons on the tramways.
The river emerging from under the waste slate. It dived underground almost at the top of the mountain.
Waterfall at the end of the valley. Fed from a lake at the top of the mountain.

Shipton Hall.
Only open on a Thursday and no photography within the house. Well worth a visit and you get a guided tour.

Burghley House
Start of a new trip today, dull to start with but eventually the sun did appear.
The house comes into view.
Stable courtyard.
Introductory video projected onto the walls, worked well.
An interesting collection.
Flour chute, must have been a mill at the next floor.
