Today's walk........a misty damp start.

Low cloud on the Clwydian range. HDR edit.

Can't quite reach that tasty looking leaf!

Cwmorthin valley after recent heavy rain......3.

The lower left shot shows the original dam. The main shot shows the current dam which was completed about eighteen months ago. Water from here is piped down the valley to run a small turbine next to the main hydroelectric power station. With the amount of water coming off the main lake the overflows are being put to good use.

A mass of water coming over the dam.

Cwmorthin valley after recent heavy rain.

With all the recent rain the waterfalls and river was in full flood, in all the times I have walked here I had never seen them this good. Another first for me, some friends wanted to come with me which made a change as I normally do all my walks alone.

The  river and waterfalls on the climb up to the valley floor.

Today's walk.......snail family.

The one upper right looks like it's a baby snail, never seen one before so a first for me.
Not the best day for taking pic's as it's very dull with a light drizzle.
