Water from here was used to power machinery in the dressing sheds below at Blaenau Ffestiniog.

Brakemans shed. Out of sight above our heads is a winding drum that pulls and lowers slate wagons up and down the incline, the brake man regualates the speed. A very lonely job all the way up here and in all weathers.
