National Memorial Arboretum.

Aerial view.

The approach.

The main reason for the visit. I trained as an apprentice at RAF Locking from 1959 to 1962 when it was known as Number 1 Radio school. I was a member of the 93rd entry and completed my training as an Air Radio Fitter having studied both airborne radar and wireless.

A large and impressive memorial.

Ale house.

Milk separator. By the use of centrifugal force the cream is separated out from the milk, the first part of the process to make clotted cream. When I was a lad and used to go to Arrowan farm at weekends I used to operate theirs. Took a lot of effort to get it up to speed.

View from the bridge.

The old watermill.
