During the second world war all the art treasures were brought up from London and stored within the mine for safe keeping.

Today's walk......slate mines.

As it was forecast to be a half decent day I decided it was time I went to the hills again.

The river is back up again today. As you can see, snow on the hills with a strong cold wind blowing.

Having worked my way across the heather in the valley, I have now gained some height to look across the valley.
